Parent of a 15 Year old Child
“Time to Connect has helped me gain so much more understanding and supporting of my
daughter and how to progress in the right direction. Being in a group was a huge help and knowing we have each other to talk things through and you're not alone is another form of support that has been so helpful. I could not recommend Emma and Julie more highly.”
One Parent's Statement
"Hi Julie so we had a really good week with Lauren last week she even went into school on Friday
feeling ill but made the most of it and no longer wants to leave. It’s such an improvement we could
cry!!"
Parent Of a Child Starting High school
morning Julie, just thought I would let you know we are 3 weeks in with Lauren at high school and Lauren is doing well. She had a couple of big meltdowns last week, especially Wednesday when she realised she had PE so went quiet and then in the car to school realised it was Lacrosse and then suddenly felt ill and had to go home. I persevered with her to school and she actually had a good day. Fingers crossed she will carry on the good work. thanks again for your help you are brilliant Julie!!
Parent of 15, 13 and 9 year old children
"I attended the last parent course that Emma and Julie did, as I felt that I needed support with the issues and problems that my teenagers were experiencing at the time. I wanted to be able to support them and understand what I could do to help. As a parent you want to be able to do anything you can in order to help and if like me, you just want to wrap them up in cotton wool and take all their worries away. However, without the correct tools or knowledge it can feel like an upheaval trying to get on the same page as them and can feel like you are making things worse instead of better. Emma’s post about the parent course came up on my newsfeed and I immediately got in touch. From start to finish they have been supportive, non judgemental, an absolute rock during hard times, have given me advice and tips and regularly checks in to see how we are getting on and always reminds me of the positive progress we have made. The course is easy to follow and is full of information and reference points for self study. I was extremely nervous about opening up about issues we were experiencing but it was such a comfort to know and hear other parents experiences (to know you are not alone) and also hearing how they deal with their issues so gaining extra input from other families (tried and tested methods). The reassurance I gained from this was invaluable and I am very grateful to have been able to be a part of this. Emma and Julie have been astounding and I recommend them to all my friends, and fully recommend the course to any parent who may need some additional support."
Parent of a 3 Year Old Child
I first contacted Emma and Julie during Lockdown 2 when its fair to say I was not enjoying parenting and was screaming daily at my 3 year old (not proud of this at all) when faced with constant defiance. I felt emotionally overwhelmed and did not know where to start to create the harmony that I really wanted. They listened to me non-judgementally and I truly believed them when they said that she had been where I was in the past and understood how I was feeling. They gave me some advice/strategies at the time but it wasn't until March thatI properly started to take action and since then I have journalled most days and done meditation several times a week. Already 4 weeks in I feel that I have gone from being 10/10 (where I definitely was in October)to 5/10 in relation to feeling overwhelmed/managing emotions and will continue to use the strategies suggested by Emma and Julie to reduce this even further.I met Emma and Julie when I was close to breaking point and that wasn't even whilst working so knew I needed to put measures in place before resuming work to ensure I could cope and get the balance I needed in my daily life. The recent 2 day workshop was great and an insight into how Emma and Julie can help women reduce feelings of overwhelm and achieve their goals. They’re right though, no one can change your life for you! But they will give you the tools/strategies you need to help you become the best version of yourself. Thanks Emma and Julie!
